The affected vehicles are:

2009-2010 RAV4,
2009-2010 Corolla,
2009-2010 Matrix,
2005-2010 Avalon,
Certain 2007-2010 Camry,
2010 Highlander,
2007-2010 Tundra,
2008-2010 Sequoia

 

Toyota is recalling approximately 2.3 million vehicles, and let me tell you, that's huge.  There has been talk about what this will do to Toyota's reputation, one that has long demonstrated safety and quality.  Personally, I still believe in Toyota and hopefully they can figure out the root issue (if they haven't already).

 

Toyota does not have a course for action at the present time, however, if you own one of the listed vehicles, I would encourage you to contact your local dealer for further instructions (be prepared to be on hold, I'm sure they are slammed with calls right now).  The factory's current instructions is to sit tight and a communication will go out to owners shortly.
