My name is Chris, the Car Guy and his name is Mark, the Web Guy (more about us later). This site was created because after spending 10 years around the automotive industry, I feel it is time to spill the beans about all the secrets I've learned regarding car sales, service, parts, and anything else I can think of.
I have been asked car questions for years from family, friends, co-workers, and strangers with my favorite asking me how to properly duct tape a hood down so it won’t fly up on the highway. Besides the fact that I no longer work in the auto industry, and frankly couldn’t be happier about it, I still feel the need to talk shop once in a while. I've found that most people trust my advice and/or opinions, so to satisfy a compelling urge to share my knowledge with the world, or at least with anyone who will listen, here we are.
You can expect to read subjects about buying a car, leasing a car, servicing your car, how to pick the right car, car safety, car secrets, what I hate about cars, and why the hell your wiper blades miss the windshield right in your line of vision after it snows.
Now, I am not claiming to be any kind of expert about cars, (Tim the “Tool Man” Taylor from Home Improvement is an expert) but I have worked as a technician, service manager, customer service manager, process improvement manager, child safety seat technician, shade-tree mechanic, moron with a wrench, etc. I have been around and learned the good, the bad, and the ugly about the industry. If you ask me a question that I don’t know the answer to, I’ll be honest and tell you; but most likely, I’ll know how and where to get the answer and maybe even translate it into a language that you would recognize.
I hope you enjoy what is to come, so please stay tuned for more car rhetoric……
